National and State Associations

National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA)

NVRA is the professional association of verbatim court reporters. Members document the official record of congressional hearings, court proceedings, administrative hearings, depositions, conferences and similar events and proceedings. NVRA is the United States authority for voice writing.

National Court Reporters Association (NCRA)

NCRA serves the court reporting and captioning professions. NCRA promotes excellence among those who capture and convert the spoken word to text and is committed to supporting every member in achieving the highest level of professional expertise.

North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association (NCVRA)

The North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association exists for the purpose of bringing together verbatim reporters for education, networking, and camaraderie. Those reporters who hold a national certification must keep the certification active by maintaining a certain number of continuing education (CE) credits. NCVRA’s biannual meetings provide a forum for obtaining those credits.

North Carolina Paralegal Association (NCPA)

The North Carolina Paralegal Association was formed for the purpose of promoting and enhancing the paralegal profession in the state of North Carolina and throughout the United States of America. Kay McGovern & Associates is proud to be a Bronze Sustaining Member of NCPA.

Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association (RWPA)

The primary goal of the Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association is to enhance the professionalism and fraternity among paralegals in the Wake County area of North Carolina. Kay McGovern & Associates is proud to be a Patron Member of RWPA.
